C. Buchanan
I Google Mapped your house tonight, satellite view,
and zoomed in as far as I could, a virtual fly-over
wagging my imaginary wings.
Strange world we live in.
Does isolation breed the past?
With the present stalled in its tracks
and the future a black hole, we go wandering
through the doors we never locked behind us.
I don’t know who Catherine is, but your poem really spoke to me. Thanks.
I hope you and Connie are weathering this pandemic storm without too much difficulty
Stay safe and be well
Ann

Thank you my long lost friend. And for all those times in American Samoa where we laughed with reckless abandon at your kitchen table. You and Connie, good and wannabe musicians and writers, performing in all our drunken splendor. In your kitchen nobody felt anonymous. I’m so glad for your words.
